Oslo has a wonderful diversity of art and artists - something we want to highlight with our festival.

Every year we try to bring together artists with different backgrounds, perspectives, style, education and amount of experience. One of our measures is therefore that we always invite at least one person under the age of 25 to create a piece. This way, up-and-coming artists get the opportunity to work alongside more experienced artists and the street art community receives fresh impulses.

In 2021, we invited the self-taught portrait artist Lea Alstad. Lea mixes realism with abstract elements to capture the personality and emotions of the people she portrays.

In 2022, we worked with three young artists.

Eva Hansen Sjøvold painted a monumental painting in Marstrandgata as their first mural. Eva explores queer identity through sensitive portraits of people in everyday poses with colorful lighting.

Christoffer Henriksen aka Salke started painting graffiti at the early age of 10. For Salke, it is the effect on the surroundings and the people who see his art that is important. That is why he uses strong and clear colors that create joy.

SLAM is a Ukrainian street artist who currently resides in Løten, Norway. In Hammerfestgata he painted two goldfish as if in a dance in the colours of the Ukrainian flag. Through his art, SLAM asks us not to become so used to tragedies that we forget them.

In 2023 we had the pleasure of working with two young artists: Bella Fasmer and Caroline Borge.

Bella created a vibrant fairy tale world that stretches out, full of details and small stories that together tell a saga about the war between the mushroom people and the humans.

Caroline's charming characters can be found scattered around Grünerløkka. She worked small scale with paintings of tiny people based on observations of random people on the street.
