For her participation in Oslo Street Art Festival, Zarina is designing a mural which will be painted by Neslihan Ramzi.
Neslihan Ramzi is an Iraqi-Turkmen graphic designer, illustrator and animator. Community and social justice are central to her art. In addition to her practice, she is the co-founder of the activist library and publisher Assata and member of Skater Uktis – a global Muslim female led skate crew. Neslihan holds degrees in graphic design and illustration from kunsthøgskolen.
Zarina Saidova (b. 1992) is an artist, illustrator, comic creator, and editor for the publishing house Træsh. In 2023, she completed a master’s degree at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts; won several awards at Visuelt; and began working as a freelancer for the agency ByHands. After 19 years in Norway, the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) has deported Zarina back to Kazakhstan, where she currently resides.
