MUGA (Mike Bnhd) is a visual artist based in Oslo who works primarily with painting, sculpture and installation in in-between spaces.
In the studio he likes to paint figurative and architectural snapshots on wood, which he combines into compositions with a visual narrative borrowed from comics. Strongly influenced by his background in graffiti, MUGA brings these compositions to the street: sometimes as ready-made assemblages, other times painting directly on the wall.
MUGA has exhibited in Belgium, France and Norway. In 2022, he was an artist-in-residence at the Nordic Artists’ Centre in Dale and made public space installations in Songnefjord, Bergen, Oslo, Marseille, Paris, Namur (Belgium) and Kiev.
