I.T. Hammar

With oil paint and ink I.T. Hammar shows the world as she observes it, with an emphasis on capturing that which lies ‘between’. Her meticulously detailed drawings of street scenes depict various traces of human existence from tagging and graffiti to fly-posting and advertising, as if to emphasise that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Her painted works allude more to the boundary between fantasy and reality, and the subjective nature of our shared experiences.
